ENCHANTED

Amy Adams was nominated for an Oscar for her scene stealing role in the "not-so-Oscar-like" JUNEBUG...and she has put herself in contention for her second Oscar nomination with her magical performance in Disney's "also-not-so-Oscar-like" ENCHANTED. Disney hits a home run with this terrific family movie (very nearly a grand-slam if only the film knew when to have a tad of retraint...). Despite a severe wrong turn with a King-Kongesque ending...this move is a pure delight. Full of great performances, a dynamic premise, and a few scenes that are destined to become Disnaey classics. Alan Menken heads up the musical team that is the glue to a movie that masterfully blends comedy, romance, and music sure to "enchant" the movie goer of any age. 4 of 5 hs
