AWAY FROM HER

This is a terrific directing debut from the young, yet wise beyond her years, Sarah Polley. The film documents the story of Grant and Fiona, a married couple that like all married couples have seen their marriage deal with its fair share of challenges. Now, as they enter their "golden years", their marriage faces a new challenge as Fiona begins to suffer from early stages of alzheimers. Julie Christie proves once again she's one of the finest actresses of the last thirty years with her terrific portrayal of Fiona. This is a well acted, well written, well made film. 3 1/2 of 5 hs
