Black Snake Moan

Wow. I don't even know where to begin. The music was great. Samuel L. Jackson acted well. I liked "Snakes on a Plane" better though...kinda kidding kinda not. I wonder why Jackson bought cough syrup before cleaning the blood off the girls face, how so much could happen in what appeared to be a few days, why the girl's left eye appeared to be healed in some scenes only to not be in later ones, how the girl could get away with beating up her mom in the grocery store, and, oh, one last thing, chains??? Maybe a 3?

Every once in awhile a movie comes along that instantly becomes a "cult classic"...BLACK SNAKE MOAN is that kind of movie. Ricci, Jackson, and Timberlake are all sensational as is Brewer's direction and all of the music. While by no means perfect...and certainly not for everyone...BLACK SNAKE MOANS is passionate, sexy, and wildly original - 4 of 5!

OK, now that I have thought about it for a couple of days, I can agree with a 4. Very bizarre movie but one you will not forget. Also, you need to watch Snakes on a Plane if you like potential "cult classics!" Joe
