The Beat That My Heart Skipped
I like foreign flicks. Well, I like good ones. A foreign flick with a great story, lively action, and nice artistic shots really allows me to "get lost in a good movie" because I MUST pay attention to the subtitles. This is one of those. If you like classical piano, you will like it that much more. I give it a 4.5. As Harold knows, I seldom give 5's. Pay attention to the rating if you have children around. Joe
BREACH
I just watched Breach, which was about FBI traitor Robert Hanssen. It started kind of slow for me, pieces not really making sense (and not in a good spell-binding way), but then became riveting. That it is based on a true story makes the movie that much more interesting. Chris Cooper, who played Hanssen, did an outstanding job. Ryan Phillippe, who played his clerk, Eric O'Neill, performed well. 3.5 out of 5. Joe

Running with Scissors
The latest movie I watched is Running with Scissors. Joe Cross (wow, I like his first name) plays Augusten Burroughs who grows up in a family even more dysfunctional than mine! His mother sends him to live with Dr. Finch, a psychiatrist. You will either love Dr. Finch (Brian Cox) or hate him. I am sure whether you love or hate him has something to do with your childhood... There are a multitude of great one-liners. I score it a 4. Joe

The Most Recent Movie...
The most recent movie I have watched is Mr. Brooks. I rate it a 4 out of 5 (I use the BlockBuster ratings, 1 being least, 5 being best). Dane Cook MAY be up for best supporting actor this year. Kevin Costner exceeded expectations. Demi Moore was Demi Moore. The story was far fetched.
